The Isle is a game that takes you back to prehistoric times and asks you to find your way around a massive open world environment. With different challenges and things to do, it provides hours of fun.

Though there are other similar games on the market, this is the only one that lets you choose between playing as a dinosaur or a hunter. When you pick the dinosaur option, the game will ask you to select which type you want to play as. The Isle shows you the strengths and weaknesses associated with each one. Some dinosaurs are larger and slower, while others are smaller and faster.

In addition to looking at their strengths and weaknesses, you'll need to pick a dinosaur based on how you want to play the game. There are some creatures that hunt other dinosaurs, but there are others that only eat plants. When you play as a carnivore, the game tasks you with tracking down and killing smaller dinosaurs to survive.

You can also pick from a range of different humans, many of which are hunters. Some of the humans survive off dinosaur meat and will require that you find ways to kill dinosaurs within the game. Other human characters are cannibals. You'll need to work your way through the game and kill as many humans as possible to survive.

As with the dinosaurs, the human characters have different strengths and weaknesses too. Some are much faster and can sneak through the game without anyone detecting them. Other characters use fire as a weapon, while some rely on weapons that they make and find within the game.

The main problem with this game is that it's quite challenging. Children and those with less experience playing open environment games will have a hard time figuring out what to do and how to progress. It has such a steep learning curve that you might find yourself running around in circles and dying frequently before you figure out what to do.

Anyone with an interest in prehistoric times and dinosaurs though will love The Isle. The open world environment of this game cannot be beat. No matter how much time you spend playing, you'll keep finding new places on the map. Some players did find that it feels repetitive at times, especially if you play as the same type of character. If you like games that require some thought and energy and games that let you interact with dinosaurs though, you will like the exciting action found in The Isle.
